Paul Anthony |
Paul is the founder and CEO of Rumblefish, the sonic branding and music licensing agency that has been both disruptive and successful in the music and branding industries. The Rumblefish vision is to explore the potential of music and sound with the belief that when corporations invest in art (music) and profit from it, there is not only economic value for that business, but cultural value for the communities it touches. Countless multi-billion-dollar businesses including Unilever, Red Bull, adidas, National Australia Bank and Kaiser Permanente have tapped Rumblefish for its unique sonic branding skills and ability to increase revenue or reduce expenses with music and sound.
To provide media creators and broadcasters such as social networks, video game publishers, film TV and web production companies with easy access to previously difficult to license music from all over the world, Rumblefish launched The Music Licensing StoreSM, a world first. Billboard Magazine hailed the store as “an iTunes for Licensing” and CNBC quickly deemed it “and iTunes for corporate America.” The website takes an industry standard music licensing process of 30 hours down to just 3 minutes. The Rumblefish Music Licensing Store currently powers hundreds of thousands of You Tube videos a week with its catalog as well as every major TV network in the US, popular films such as The Wrestler and every major video game developer.
In addition to running his first marathon in 2008, Paul has produced recordings with Grammy award winning artists such as Sarah McLauchlan and George Clinton continues exploring sound as the co-founder with Zak Martin, of Spaceman www.Spaceman.com a hand-made guitar pedal business. He is an active board member for both RightsFlow www.RightsFlow.com , a music rights management business and Showloads www.Showloads.com a live music video distributor.
To pay it forward as others so generously have for him, Paul Anthony co-founded with seven other entrepreneurs, StarveUps www.StarveUps.com, the successful entrepreneurship organization, is a board member for My Voice Music www.MyVoiceMusic.org which gives high-needs youth in schools a music outlet for expression and founded www.NotACrime.org, an organization that promotes legal graffiti by commissioning graf art and featuring it on billboards in major US cities to help graf artists further their artistic careers.
Paul is a member of TED, an avid snowboarder and is currently wrestling with his first book.
