Ken Smith |
Ken came to interview at Wieden+Kennedy one sunny day in April of 1995. When he asked, "Is the weather always this good?" he was told, "Yes, it never rains in Portland." Ken believed this and took a job working on the Microsoft account, where he helped launch Windows 95, Office 95 and various other software. Since then he has worked on the Miller Genuine Draft, Miller High Life, Henry Weinhard's and Foster's beer accounts, PowerBar energy bars, the Indy Racing League, 800.com, Belvedere Vodka and Nike Latin America.
He is currently the Account Director on Nike Golf, Laika and Oregon Tourism.

Mike Sommers |
Mike Sommers has been creating innovative and engaging consumer Internet products since 1995, when he developed a series of successful community-based products on AOL as a contract employee of ABC Online. Since then has been primarily focused on the business of connecting people with the things they care about.
In 2007 Sommers joined the KickApps Corporation as Senior Vice President of Products. KickApps is a leading social media platform company that offers a "Social Graph Operating System" and a suite of social networking and user generated content applications that plug into it. As of January 2009, over 50,000 web publishers including ABC Family, NPR, Scripps, National Geographic, Budget Travel, HBO, Rachael Ray, The New York Rangers and thousands of smaller publishers have integrated the KickApps platform and applications into their sites. Sommers is a frequent speaker at industry events, commenting on the art and science of building and sustaining online communities (and monetizing social behaviors, in general).

Tim Stock launched brand planning think tank scenarioDNA in 2001 in order to evolve how research and planning can help brands understand and interact with consumers. scenarioDNA's methodology is based on a networked view that goes beyond traditional demographics and leverages culture as a way of casting opportunities for effective brand stories. scenarioDNA has used these methods to help well-known names reach out to untapped markets and strengthen their existing equity. Clients include American Greetings, Kodak, MillerCoors and Nestlé, to name a few.
Prior to scenarioDNA, Stock held key positions at agencies including Ayer, Y&R and Dennis Interactive as well as early mobile innovations with Apple's Newton Developer Program. He is also currently an adjunct professor in the Design & Management Department of Parsons the New School for Design where he teaches Design Research and Trend Analysis. His company's 2006 statement piece for UK-journal Young Consumers on "What Defines Global Youth?" can soon be read in Prentice Hall's Consumer Behavior 10e textbook. "The Transformer Generation", Stock’s pet project exploring cross-generational synergies among Gen Y, is a book in the works.

Jody Turner is the Founder and lead consultant of CultureofFuture.com. She is an industry leader and influencer, working with top innovation companies as a communications expert and modern cultural trend anthropologist. She works at the intersection of lifestyle and redesigning how we live, work and play. Dani Zizak is Vice President of Global marketing for the Hush Puppies Company, a division of Wolverine Worldwide.
Zizak began her career in the footwear industry in the early 90’s with German based Gabor Footwear managing US Marketing efforts for the retail division. She later joined Dr. Martens as Regional Marketing Director and then Vice President of Marketing with responsibility for North American brand marketing, public relations and sponsorship.
In 2001, Zizak joined Wolverine Worldwide as Vice President of Global Marketing for Cat Footwear, a licensee of Caterpillar Inc. In January 09 she assumed responsibilities for the Hush Puppies Company with sales in 180 countries and 500+ concept stores worldwide.
