Kent Lewis |
Kent Lewis, founder and President of Anvil Media, Inc., has been dominating the world of search-engine marketing. Lewis is responsible for managing Anvil Media’s operations, marketing and business development to achieve the agency's mission: to build Anvil into the one of the most respected search engine marketing agencies in the world. Current Anvil clients include Extensis, gDiapers, Nautilus, Lucy Activewear, Oregon State University, PC World, Planar, Point6, Tea Collection and Yesmail.
In addition to Anvil Media, Lewis is the founder and acting President of Formic Media, a search engine-marketing (SEM) agency focusing on the small business market, and co-founder and former President of SEMpdx, a trade organization for SEM professionals based in Portland, Oregon.
With a background in integrated marketing, Lewis left a public relations agency in 1996 to start his Internet marketing career at a Web development firm. Shortly thereafter, he built and managed his first search engine marketing team at a local full-service marketing agency before co-founding Wave Rock Communications and later, eROI.
In 2001, Lewis created pdxMindShare, an online career community and Portland-area networking event. He is also an adjunct professor at Portland State University, where he teaches eMarketing and SEM workshops. When he's not working or hanging out with his family, he likes to write about his travels and life experiences on his blog, The Kent Lewis Experience.

Lynette Xanders |
Lynette is an author and entrepreneur, serving both businesses and individuals in the arenas of branding and creativity. As CEO of Wild Alchemy, she has worked for many creative ad agencies and design firms on globally-recognized brands.
Several years ago, she decided to use those same, proven techniques at an individual level and created the Brand You workshop. Xanders is the author of the Chaos Creativity Journal which has helped companies such as Patagonia to develop a more creative culture and hundreds of individuals design their own brand.
She teaches Account Planning at the Art Institute of Portland and lives on Mt. Hood to appease her skiing problem. She has two mottos: “If you’re not having fun, you’re doing it wrong’ and ‘You don’t find yourself, you create yourself.”

Prior to joining FILTER, LeBlanc most recently served as the Northwest Resource Manager for the Portland and Seattle offices of Razorfish. His 14 plus years of experience in advertising and marketing also include working with CKS Partners, TBWA\Chiat\Day, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, McCann-Erickson, and Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners. LeBlanc has experience servicing big brands including Levi Strauss & Co., Hewlett-Packard Worldwide, Microsoft, and Nissan Motors of America. LeBlanc has worked on award winning print and outdoor advertising, television and radio, in-store display, consumer packaging, corporate branding and online advertising.

Gordy Seeley |
Gordy Seeley, Program Director at Razorfish, has over 14 years of interactive advertising and web design experience. Seeley’s range of experiences have allowed him the opportunity to work on projects with a variety of clients-such as Microsoft, Coors, Proctor & Gamble, Expedia, Disney, Northwest Airlines and Best Buy, to name a few.
With a broad skill set spanning project management, media planning, web development and technical solutions, Seeley has been recognized with several peer and management awards throughout his career. His accomplishments led to his promotion to Program Director within 1 ½ years of being hired at Razorfish. Previously in his career, Seeley worked for eyescream interactive, inc. in Portland, OR, where he served as Media Director for 5 years before becoming the agency’s CIO. Seeley received his BS in Journalism/Advertising from the University of Oregon.

Ben Elkin |
Ben Elkin is a Talent Acquisition Manager for Nike, Inc. His areas of focus include oversight of the Collegiate Programs and Corporate Functions Sourcing teams, as well as candidate experience strategy. This is his second stint with the company, having served as the University Relations Manager for two years.
Prior to Nike, Elkin managed Diversity Retention for Target Corporation at its corporate headquarters in Minneapolis, MN. He predominantly worked on development and onboarding strategies for broad company impact, and principal client support of the headquarters and distribution organizations. In 2007, Elkin introduced Target’s first companywide mentoring program, which used web-enabled technology to connect high-performing diverse talent with senior leaders.
Elkin has also worked as a civil rights analyst within the Voting Section of the U.S. Department of Justice, and managed the fair housing testing and outreach program at the Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights.
He holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Northwestern University, and a master's in public policy from UC Berkeley.

Kim Nicholson |
Kim Nicholson is an Enterprise Recruiter with Starbucks Coffee Company in Seattle, WA. She currently recruits for several business units including Marketing, Category, Global Store Design, Finance and Tax. Nicholson has been in Corporate Recruiting for two years and has recruited across the Enterprise for entry level to director positions.
Prior to corporate recruiting, Kim worked for three and a half years in agency recruiting. The first six months were spent at TRC Staffing which specializes in customer service and administrative positions. The remaining three years Kim was a Senior Recruiter at Harvey Nash, an international accounting, finance and IT recruiting firm.
Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Business from the University of Oregon.
